Your inner goddess loves her time in the spotlight and our LA desert boudoir shoots are an incredible way to let her shine.
And after doing a boudoir shoot, you know firsthand what this feels like- to express your sensual power without any fears, judgment, or self-criticism.
My returning clients, you’ve experienced your moment to shine with us and know exactly what I’m talking about;)
One of the most powerful places to capture this remarkable side of yourself is in front of a natural landscape. This is why I love exploring our LA Desert boudoir shoots with you all!
Both local and destination clients choose this location for their boudoir photoshoots for two main reasons:
You’ve had an in-studio shoot with me before and want to switch it up for your second (view a returning clients SoCal Desert Shoot feature). Our in-studio shoots are a classic experience that so many women love doing as their intro to boudoir. However, as you get more comfortable with the art of boudoir, an outdoor shoot will be an empowering next chapter in your journey and a new way to express yourself.
You’re new to boudoir but are looking for something less traditional and edgier than an in-studio shoot. If this is you, you’ve come to the right place – The edgier the better IMO! Our desert shoots are a place for you to experiment with your most extravagant and bold outfit ideas.
Scroll on for our top frequently asked questions about our LA desert shoots plus some fabulous past client images…
Q.) What do I wear to my desert session?
A.) When putting together your outfits for your desert boudoir shoot, I can’t recommend enough taking the time to think outside the box. You’ll want to stand out against the background which means that bold colors and different textures are your best friends.
Because the landscape is so epic, this is also a good time to experiment with fantasy wardrobe ideas like costumes or themed outfits. For some wardrobe tips and inspiration, check out our past blog post, Embrace Your Power Through Wardrobe.
Q.) What is the weather like?
A.) Since we only have our Los Angeles desert shoots in the later part of the day, now shooting into dusk, the temperature is comfortable, and you won’t have to worry too much about breaking a sweat or overdressing. As with all of our sessions, we’ll have water and snacks on hand to keep you hydrated and energized, also taking mini breaks throughout to reset.
If you’re interested in learning more about how to reserve a date in the desert with us, book a phone consultation with the studio below to get in touch.
Q.) Is there a travel fee to have my photo shoot in the desert?
A.) If you are a returning client, there is no additional fee to book a desert shoot. For our new clients, there is a travel fee that will incur when booking your session date. If you have any questions about this, please shoot us an email at email@example.com.
Q.) Is there anything different about preparing for a desert boudoir shoot?
A.) With all of our outdoor shoots, it’s important to pay extra attention to the details when preparing for shoot day. The elements are an additional factor to take into consideration, however, with the proper preparation, the elements can help us add more magic to your images rather than be a hindrance.
EXPERT TIP: High heels will sink into the desert floor, so you will want to be sure to bring a pair of sandals to walk around easily between shots or outfit changes. In addition, bringing a sweater or jacket is always a good idea. Once the sun goes down it gets chilly…fast!
Be sure to read carefully through the various guides and prep materials that we share with you leading up to your session and you will be all set to rock your images! Plus a little extra hydration and sleep the night before can be helpful as well :
