Male Boudoir Photo Shoot at Vasquez Rocks

It’s no secret that boudoir photos are generally something that women seek out more than men- and, this beautiful gallery from our recent male boudoir session will have you convinced, like me, that waaaaay more men should be embracing boudoir photography.

This amazing Client (and Brand Ambassador for our studio!) just enjoyed his second boudoir photo shoot with us. The photos below are from his first session at Vasquez Rocks just outside Los Angeles.

Boudoir photos make incredible gifts to our partners and our Client wow’ed his wife by gifting her an album, Diamond Block and Vivid Metal Print for their anniversary.

Naturally, his photos were also an incredible gift to himself and a growing experience in self-love. Check out this amazing YouTube video our Client made featuring his session with us!

A: I was looking for a way to encourage my wife to try a boudoir shoot, since she has talked about it but isn’t sure she would be comfortable doing so. I did some research into some photographers and shared them with her, but she was still reluctant. After we talked about it a few times, I realized one of the best ways to help break the ice and make her comfortable would be if someone she knew had already taken pictures – and who better to try it than me!

Not only was Lindsay one of the photographers who takes male clients, but her work is some of the best I’ve seen. I was also really inspired by the way she discussed her clients’ bodies and the way boudoir can help people of any age, body type, or confidence level. I could tell from her portfolio that this was something that REALLY mattered to Lindsay, and that made me feel really comfortable booking her for a session.

Q:

A: I suppose I was a little bit concerned that everybody would be able to be professional, especially when I was fully nude. I had no reason to assume they wouldn’t be, but it’s still scary to go into a situation with strangers and take your clothes off! Fortunately, Lindsay and I had a few conversations before the shoot, and a LOT of conversations during the shoot before we got to that point, so I was very comfortable by the time it came to get undressed.

Q:

A: Nervous and excited! I started noticing myself in the mirror in the morning, and wondering how certain angles would look on camera. And of course, this whole experience was meant to be a surprise for my wife, so I was able to keep myself occupied with worrying about that, which actually made the photo session itself a lot less stressful.

A: It was terrific fun! It was just like hanging out with friends, it was so natural. (Puns not intended.) Lindsay was really professional, but also just a cool person to get to know, which is so important when you’re taking these kinds of photos – you want somebody that you know you can trust to make you look good, but also somebody that can help take the pressure off the situation. Lindsay was terrific in both aspects!

Q:

A: Within 24 hours, I sent Lindsay three emails! The first was full of ideas for a studio shoot (now scheduled for October 2022), including a Pinterest board. The second had ideas for another shoot I’d like to do down the road, where we’d find a specific location and try to do a shoot there. And in the third, I asked questions about the perks and add-ons, because there were more products that I wanted to see my photos on. I think it’s safe to say I will be a returning customer for several sessions in the future 🙂

Q:

A: I had meant to lose a lot of weight before my shoot, and it just wasn’t possible due to some stuff that came up in the months after I booked my session. But honestly, I’m really glad I didn’t push the shoot, or wait to book it until I’d lost some pounds – it was a really incredible experience to see me in these flattering, sexy poses! If you’ve ever felt like you weren’t attractive, if you’ve ever felt like there wasn’t any value in your body… I really encourage you to book a session, because it’s a truly remarkable experience. Lindsay excels at finding your most flattering angles and accentuating them with beautiful poses. And having these photos is such a wonderfully affirming boost to my self-esteem, and I think everybody should try it at least once!
